Slippery Elm Poetry and Prose Awards

homeHeaderLogoImage_en_USSlippery Elm Literary Journal‘s annual deadline for their Poetry and Prose Awards is coming up on September 13th. The journal is sponsored by the University of Findlay. While all entries will be considered for publication, the winner will also be awarded $1000.

Slippery Elm was founded this year, and is focused on promoting the best visual art, fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry that today’s artists are producing.

Those applying for the poetry award may submit up to three poems. Mary Biddinger, American poet, editor, and academic, will be judging all poetry submissions.

Prose submissions can be up to 5000 words. Robert James Russell, American writer, editor, and publisher, will judge all prose submissions.
